“Coach Lutt” has a long history in the game of baseball, as not just a player, but as a coach and an instructor as well. A 1989 graduate of Morris Knolls, he helped the Golden Eagles win consecutive Morris County Championships, and he set multiple school records for his defense, some of which still stand today. In college, he spent some time in the Virginia Tech program and summers in the Essex County league.
His final playing stint was in the Morris Majors for several years. As a coach, “Lutt” spent one year at Morris Catholic before his eight year tenure at Morris Knolls. During that time, he also served as a hitting instructor for the Pro Motions Baseball camps and clinics, as well as a personal instructor specializing in catching instruction.
